Flushmate Complete Replacement System for 501A&501B with Handle Kit and -F3B-

Excellent upgrade kit to my FLUSHMATE System of 27 years (speaks for itself). Meticulous instructions made bot the job a breeze and me a delighted customer happy to spread the word.

My original Flushmate was installed in 1999. It developed a pinhole leak in the top of the round tank in 2020 and would no longer flush properly. I spoke by phone with a representative an she talked me through what I needed to remove and replace my unit. I ordered it and it arrived promptly. Between the online videos and the very thorough instructions, I was able to complete the removal and replacement in an hour or so. The only problem I had was removing the lock nut that holds the water supply in place. The toilet was installed with little clearance on either side and the back, and I could not fit pliers onto the nut easily. I managed to loosen the nut enough to drain most of the water out of the porcelain tank, and the rest of the job went very smoothly. The new handle with the attached cable works very well and the toilet flushes with far less effort than with the original handle.

I am 75 years old. Had a plumber install it. It only lasted 23 years. Maybe the fact that my reducing valve was not working correctly, had something to do with it. Or maybe the fact that my expansion tank was not working! I expect this one to last as long.

Replacement instructions must have been written by a technical writer -- clear, concise, ordered, and complete. Removal of the old unit and installation of the replacement was a "snap!" Bravo!! (Estimated time to complete each task was accurate too.)

This was a very easy installation and the instructions that came with the unit along with the online info makes it even easier. Replaced a 501A from more than 21 years ago.,did not receive a tracking number but package came sooner than I have expected. Thanks
