Excellent instructions, easy removal and replacement

My original Flushmate was installed in 1999. It developed a pinhole leak in the top of the round tank in 2020 and would no longer flush properly. I spoke by phone with a representative an she talked me through what I needed to remove and replace my unit. I ordered it and it arrived promptly. Between the online videos and the very thorough instructions, I was able to complete the removal and replacement in an hour or so. The only problem I had was removing the lock nut that holds the water supply in place. The toilet was installed with little clearance on either side and the back, and I could not fit pliers onto the nut easily. I managed to loosen the nut enough to drain most of the water out of the porcelain tank, and the rest of the job went very smoothly. The new handle with the attached cable works very well and the toilet flushes with far less effort than with the original handle.

I am 75 years old. Had a plumber install it. It only lasted 23 years. Maybe the fact that my reducing valve was not working correctly, had something to do with it. Or maybe the fact that my expansion tank was not working! I expect this one to last as long.

Replacement instructions must have been written by a technical writer -- clear, concise, ordered, and complete. Removal of the old unit and installation of the replacement was a "snap!" Bravo!!\r\n(Estimated time to complete each task was accurate too.)

The directions were easy to follow and complete. Having the wrench included was great. I took my time, read everything carefully and finished in 90 minutes. For this kind of installation I think that's incredible and a direct result of having the right instructions and tools I didn't have to make any adjustments. The new handle system is a great improvement. I'm very impressed with the quality and ease of operation and highly recommend this replacement system.

The manual was very easy to follow. It took me about an hour and a half to install. I was surprised that the Flushmate wrench was included. The new handle and cable system works great. Much nicer than the old system with the metal rods. I bought a new foam tank to bowl gasket because the hard rubber one made the tank sit too high. All in all I'm very pleased with the unit.

I feel like my review is a duplicate to DH-10791 from Maine...my old Sloan Flushmate with round tank inside my toilet was made in 1984 and just started losing pressure. I contacted Flushmate.com who matched up my old Model Number and Series which I ordered after running all the tests to make sure it was needed. Installation of new rectangular plastic tank system was a very easy job.

Ordered on-line, received repair kit very quickly. Just now finished installing, absolutely no problems! Instructions in the user manual were comprehensive and left no doubt about anything. Very good instructions!! I took my time and still had everything done in one hour and ten minutes. No adjustments were necessary, everything worked perfectly on the first flush. Thank you for a great product and great customer support!

After almost 25 years, my original Flushmate was starting to act up. Called the company, spoke to a great representative and 5 days later the replacement kit was in my hands. The comprehensive kit was easy to install.

We have a Gerber toilet with the Flushmate system inside. It was installed by the prior owners of our house in 1997. It had started acting up, not keeping the pressure overnight, so we bought the replacement system, using the same Gerber toilet. \r\nOne thing we struggled with is removing the old parts due to age, notable the bolts under the tank. What we didn't realize is those bolts didn't need to be removed, so the manual should note that as it added several hours to the job. The other issue is the that tank hole was small compared to the bottom piece of the flushmate and so it didn't go through completely. This caused the unit to be a little higher than it should have and when the tank lid is on, it presses against the top of the unit, causing it to keep running. We ended up using some bubble wrap to cushion the tank lid and create some space to prevent this. The handle replacement was also confusing to install until we discovered the video on the website. The video tutorials need to be all on one page with better titles to find the correct one; we found the handle one on the page for purchasing the handle. It was a day of pain, but at least the toilet works now with no issues.

I received order as describled and installed it myself. Took me longer ( 2 hrs) than described because I took my time and really studied the instructions. After about a week of use, its working perfectly and the new handle system flushes so easily, its remarkable. The old handle and tank failed (new 1996) too long ago and I struggled with it. Now its great. If it lasts 10 years, I'll be truly raving. Early reviews are always a little deceptive. At one week, it gets 5 stars.

System was very easy to install. I’m a fairly novice plumber and just followed the step by step directions. Didn’t need to watch the online videos. If you have a pliers and screws driver at home you do not need the installation tool kit to install the complete system. The complete system comes with a 3 in 1 tool to help with installation. At this point I’m very pleased w the new system, only a few flushes in.

My 23 year old Flushmate system was leaking and I called Sloan technical who identified the supposed replacement tank for my nin-functioning unit. I tried installing the replacement unit today only to find that the water supply connection pipe on the replacement unit was about 2" away from the existing hole in the toilet tank so that the unit could not be installed. Will end up having to contact Sloan about getting the correct unit sent. Real disappointing and a hassle since the toilet can't be used until the replacement is sent.

I had to replace a 25 year old SLOAN Flushmate in my new house and it was easiest replacement I have done when it comes to toilet flush valves. And best of all - the new flush handle is the smoothest one I have come across.

The 1995 FushMate wouldn't flush fully after nearly 25 years of service. I called FlushMate support and they were EXCELLENT in determining the problem, and that there were no replacement parts to repair the discontinued unit. I was guided to the exact new model, purchased it, and it arrived UPS very quickly. FlushMate support was running even though the country is currently on Chinese Wuhan COVID Pandemic lockdown. The experience getting through to technical support, and getting a product shipped immediately, was excellent. When the FlushMate did arrive slightly delayed in transit due to the pandemic, it contained everything including an installation wrench. The instructions were easy to follow and complete. With just a little adjustment for water pressure, it was up and running in an hour. The unit had Proudly Made in the USA stamped on it and on the FushMate web site too! Kudos FushMate! Thank you for thinking American.

Changed these types before and the most common complaint was the old style handle and lever.\r\nThe new flush handle cable system is far superior to the old style.\r\nThe wrench was a awesome addition.\r\nCustomer service was outstanding as well.\r\n\r\nKeep it up!

Extremely easy to do. Who ever had the idea to include the wrench needs a raise. It makes the whole job so easy. I will be ording a 2nd system to do a different bathroom shortly
