Toilet TypesTwo Piece Toilet
A two piece toilet is made of two separate pieces of vitreous china, a holding tank and a bowl. The holding tank is mounted on the bowl by the installer using washers, nuts and bolts. Two piece toilets are often called "close-coupled" in reference to this mounting system and are the most common toilets on the market. The Flushmate model number for this type of toilet always begins with M-101526.

Was the first time we had to do anything with the original since 2003 I found it simple to just replace the complete system

This is a very good product which our custodian was able to install with ease.

I continue to have leak problems with the Flushmate. Water runs continously.. Water pressure is adequate. The Flushmate I have on order is the third one. Plus the one that came in the Kohler toilet. Plus an extra Flush valve cartridge, plus an Upper Supply Group.

Installed in 2006 as a component of the Kohler K4484/K4304 2-piece toilet. Parts are still available (good product support), although I haven't needed any since the Flushmate has performed flawlessly over the 13+ years we have used it on a daily basis. The only drawback to the Flushmate system is that it is noisier than gravity-flush systems when initially flushing. Refill is very quick (~15-20 seconds) and quiet.
